Hidden Cotswold Tour 13th - 16th October 2023
I picked up Lee from Heathrow Airport.
Unfortunately, some of her luggage did not come over with her and we tried in vain to track it down at the airport.
I dropped Lee off at her Hotel in Chipping Campden and agreed to meet her at 9am the following morning.
Her luggage caught up with her later that night.

Day One
Our first day’s walk started and finished in Burford, Gateway to the Cotswolds.
A flat walk down by the river Windrush. There were quite a few styles which added to the adventure. Plus some slippery bits!!!
Today’s walk was about 6 miles.

Day Two
Day two and we started and finished in Broadway.
This was a more challenging walk as we had to climb up to the top of Broadway Hill and Broadway Tower.
At the cafe we stopped for a coffee before making our way back down to the town.
Today’s walk was just under 5 miles.

Day Three
Our third day started and finished in Winchcombe. We walked past Sudeley castle and up the hill. The footpath we followed became less and less walked and towards the end, we were beating away through brambles to get to the road. Lee was not dispirited and laughed her way through today’s little adventure!

Day Four
For our final day, we were joined by Jenny. Starting in Stow-on-the-Wold we walked down the hill to Daylesford Organics Farm Shop.
In theory, this should have been straight forward, had we had the keys to Jenny’s car at the end. But we solved that little problem and it was soon time for farewells and to take Lee to the Station via the Rollright Stones.

Route
Well, we covered a lot of the Cotswolds over our four days. You were great company and never phased by the little challenges we encountered on our journeys.
I was so impressed by your energy and enthusiasm. Whatever is in the air in Vail, I want some 😊
We were incredibly fortunate with the weather with the sun shining as we walked.
